We at Sound System Culture warmly welcome you to our first event, where we will discuss the current state of the grass-roots dance music scenes and its attendant social movements.

This is the first in a series of ongoing small ‘orbit’ happenings, which will guide us toward our main event in Spring 2019. As a roundtable discussion, the floor will be open to all participants to share their views by answering the following question:

“How did your journey through Sound System Culture begin?”

After the discussion, indulge in some soundsystem culture firsthand with a colourful array of DJ sets. As you can tell by the lineup (below) we are trying to get members of both the established and newer generations of sound system culture together, to share their different approaches to music.

Representing not only Berlin’s contemporary music and subcultural scene – with a shared passion for heavy-bass music from dub to techno and other forms of experimental sounds – each act will contribute their diverse sound to the mix.

Join us in the cosy atmosphere of Lauschangriff in Friedrichshain to share some great stories and some even better music! All sound enthusiasts welcome. Dressing up is also welcome… after all, it’s Halloween! Also, try to arrive early: there will be free shots on the door for the first 50 people!
