After presenting DJ Zhao’s set played during the Sound System Culture event on the 19th of April 2019, here comes another audible treat connected to the artists being involved in that event.
Bademah and Zentash Gigawatt Dubz of the bosnian ‘musical venture’ Jah Forcefield (that is actually a trio with Monodread) visited Berlin for the first time.
“The main focus of Jah Forcefield permeates through the study of heavy conscious basslines intended exclusively for sound system dance and wandering into quiet introspective spaces almost to the same extent as dwelling deep into club culture.”
Even though we did not manage to record their live set during the night on the 19th of April, they were up to join for the ‘Dubconference‘ Radioshow by Tom Bauminista at omyradio.net and rast.fm. Tom Bauminista who also attended at our first small orbit event to share his knowledge and experience on sound system culture in Berlin since the 90ies was happy to host the guests on his weekly sunday evening show just before they were travelling back to Sarajevo on monday.
After the set of Jah Forcefield, Tom Bauminista and Meta shared the decks for a wicked ride into the dub orbit.  Talking about organic networks, Meta was the one to meet Bademah randomly on the streets when travelling through Bosnia and as she is one of the curators of ‘Sound System Culture – on the radical roots of rave’, this was the perfect opportunity to support the musical output of Jah Forcecield internationally and invite them to play on the A-Sound during the event.
A mutual friend of Meta and Bademah, who is currently running a sound system called Sandokan HiFi in Zagreb (Croatia) joined the sofa crew of the radioshow alongside BenJammin, who also played on the Triple P Sound System during the event and has close relations to Sandokan Hifi, Tom Bauminista and Meta for years.
Following these cross-connections, Sandokan Hifi was invited for Tom Bauminista’s radioshow just two weeks later!
