Even in a forward-thinking city like Berlin, women are still underrepresented in the DJing world.

All the curators of the Sound System Culture event, including Gretchen Bazooka (Mary M.), are determined to not only have at least half of the line-up to be female (duh) but to also include maginalized groups like the LGBTI community, people of colour and people with disabilities in their range of participants.

We are really gratetful for the diverse line-up we had on our event on April 19th, and intend to keep it up and never stop reflecting.

This is a responsibility of ALL event organizers, worldwide. This message needs to be spread until everybody not only heard but also understood it.

We love to bring all kinds of different people from different backgrounds together just as much as we love a large varienty of musical genres.
